Position Description: Museum Technician will assist Curator with preservation, maintenance, storage, exhibit, accessioning and cataloging of museum objects and archives; Museum Housekeeping; Environmental monitoring and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in museum exhibit and storage areas; Prepare, maintain and organize museum records and databases; Respond to research requests. The work is partially sedentary with prolonged standing, walking and bending
often required. Heavy items (e.g. boxes and collection items up to 50 pounds must be lifted or moved on a frequent basis. Incumbent must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
