Shaker Heritage Society is searching for a part-time Education Coordinator to design and implement educational programs and community outreach initiatives.  This includes social media outreach and hands-on programs for diverse audiences.  The Society is located in Albany, NY and is working to revitalize a significant historic site that includes nine historic structures, a wildlife preserve and a small scale farm program. 

 

This position provides an opportunity to develop a new interpretive plan for the site, to continue work on a virtual reconstruction of the historic site and to work with the Society’s Director to prepare grant proposals.  The Education Coordinator will also assist with planning and running large scale public events.
