Hello Stephen, My name is Marc Terrance and in 1999 I self-published my book "Concentration Camps, a Traveler's Guide to World War II Sites". I used a Print-on-Demand company called Universal Publishers here in Florida. They were extremely helpful and professional. I sent them the entire book (including Cover and Spine), pages numbered, spell checked, paginated exactly as I wanted it. Within 2 weeks I had the proof copy in my hands and within a month it was on Amazon.com. I know they only do NON-Fiction. And in looking at their website: http://www.universal-publishers.com/ they are starting to get a little more selective in who they choose to publish. I didn't have to submit as much information and detailed proposals as they require now. I have had good service with them and receive my regular royalty payments into my PayPal account on schedule. I hope this information is helpful. No doubt this question has been asked before, and maybe even I asked it -- so please forgive any repetition. I'd love to hear from any of you who have published books or exhibit catalogues using web-based print-on-demand services. Which are doing a good job in terms of quality and cost? Do any allow for decent design flexibility, or are they fairly rigid and template-based? Any critiques or endorsements would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks, /stephen __________________________________________________________________________ S t e p h e n N o w l i n V.P., Director, Williamson Gallery | Art Center College of Design | 626.396.2397 Pasadena — City of Art & Science | http://www.pasadenaculture.net Williamson on Google: http://www.williamsongallery.net/google Williamson on Facebook: http://www.williamsongallery.net/facebook __________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe from the MUSEUM-L list, click the following link: http://home.ease.lsoft.com/scripts/wa.exe?SUBED1=MUSEUM-L&A=1 ========================================================= Important Subscriber Information: The Museum-L FAQ file is located at http://www.finalchapter.com/museum-l-faq/ .
