Subject: Crowd/Space Control
We are about to open the "Play Museum," a gallery
at the Illinois State Museum. The public opening is Saturday, March 26th, and
you are all welcome to come.
We anticipate that this new exhibit will be very popular. We feel we will need
to control the number of visitors in the gallery for both safety and experiential
reasons. A timed ticket would be ideal, however, we are free and therefore have
no ticketing or timing mechanism.We also don't expect this to be a consistently
reoccurring problem. So we need a simple temporary solution.One of the staff
suggested distributing a limited number of poker chips (red, white & blue)
as a way to count folks, time attendance and invite people back. I was
wondering if anyone of Museum-L might have experience with this and would like
to share.On list or directly to:
