Hi Rebecca,

It is the British painter Sir Francis Rose. I have never contacted auction houses--thank you for the suggestion.

Yours,
Annalisa

Annalisa,
Is the painter Sir Francis Rose or simply Francis Rose? Is this an american painter or British?

Have you tried auction house records? They may be able to help you if you contact them directly.

Best of luck,
Rebecca

Hello,
I am looking for information about holdings and archives related to the twentieth century painter Francis Rose.  All leads are welcome, as he has only an incredibly unreliable autobiography and very few accessible pieces.

Thanks!
