Thank you Kate! Very, very helpful

Do any of these have an internal memory?...meaning after you load the
content from a flash drive for example, do they play from their own
flash memory and you can unplug the USB thumb drive?

Thanks again

Subject: Re: [MUSEUM-L] Media Player?

Hi, Marc

We use media players all the time. They're inexpensive, easy to set up
and use (I use USB thumb drives for content), play large files, and loop
the video. There are many out there and I've purchased several different
models. But obviously make sure the one you get plays the formats you
need.

I've been happy with all three of these:

ViewSonic VMP70

ID=FR>

iomega ScreenPlay TV Link HD Media Player

WD TV Live Plus HD Media Player

Good luck!

Hello all,

I was thinking of replacing all our DVD players with solid state
multimedia players.

We will need players that could handle large files, videos and
such...that will be able to play multiple formats (mpeg 1 and 2 , mp3s,
DivX..etc.) and that will be able to loop. Additionally, it will be
great if they have the possibility of changing content through a SD Card
or a Flash Drive besides connecting to a computer.

For a particular installation we have used BrightSign sign controllers
because we needed to show a 2 channels video in sync.

Are there any cheaper alternatives out there?...simply something that
will reliably play in loop a particular video or audio file...

Do any of you have some suggestions?

Your help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks in advance
