Do you know an inspirational museum educator worthy of broader
recognition? Have you developed an exceptional, tested program or
published resource that is innovative and effective at reaching target
audiences? Do you know a new member of the museum education field who
would benefit from attending the annual AAM conference in Houston?
Consider nominating someone for one of EdCom's annual Awards or applying
for a Diversity Fellowship.

Awards - Since 1983, EdCom has recognized outstanding contributions to
museum education by individual practitioners, by museums offering
distinguished programs and publications, and by those individuals
demonstrating leadership within the entire museum community and beyond.

Awards are available in several categories:

*	Excellence in Practice
*	Excellence in Programming
*	Excellence in Published Resources
*	John Cotton Dana Leadership Award

Diversity Fellowship - EdCom, like AAM, is committed to making museums
more responsive to diversity. One way that EdCom encourages museums to
reflect diversity is by awarding fellowship assistance to new museum
education professionals of diverse cultural/ethnic backgrounds to attend
the AAM Annual Meeting. The fellowship covers the annual meeting early
registration fee, attendance at EdCom events with an EdCom mentor, and a
one year EdCom membership.
