This has been bantered about before on the MCN (Museum Computer Network) Listserv. . . . and it's been everyone's general agreement NOT to use iPads. One person had even talked with an Apple sales representative, and even he commented that there are lots of more - better - less expensive ways of achieving the same results.

Wander over to the MCN website, (http://www.mcn.edu) and search the list archives for the word "iPad" and you should pull up the discussions and the various alternatives.

I have a friend who is installing a new exhibit (actually, a whole museum!) and he want to use iPads for interactivity. He is wondering how others have used iPads in their galleries. Any examples or even ideas would be great. Any lessons learned (negative as well as positive) too.
