Lecture: “Museum Expansion in the Global 21st Century: The Case of Abu Dhabi”

Seton Hall University’s MA Program in Museum Professions is pleased to present a lecture by Dr. Andrew McClellan, Dean of Academic Affairs for Arts and Sciences and Professor of Art History at Tufts University.  A distinguished scholar and author, Dr. McClellan specializes in museum history and theory.  He will speak on the ongoing development of Abu Dhabi’s massive arts and culture complex on Saadiyat Island, with its planned outposts of the Louvre and the Guggenheim.  He will frame his talk within the context of other recent speculative museum projects in the United States and Europe. 

 

All members of Seton Hall and the surrounding community are invited to attend.  The lecture will take place on November 18th at 7:00 pm in the Nursing Amphitheater.  The Nursing Amphitheater (NU113) is located in the Caroline D.
