Senior VP, Specialist Head of Wine Dept., Auction House, New York
For our world-renowned auction house client we are seeking a Senior Vice President and Specialist Head of the Wine Department.  This position will develop business and sales strategies for US Wine sales and act as the primary business-getter for the Department with a focus on acquiring high-value property for six annual sales in New York. The successful candidate will develop and maintain client relationships; review all business-getting proposals and provide leadership and support all Department Specialists on pricing, cataloguing, research, client relationships and service; work with Business Manager to manage administrative staff, develop budgets and control costs; other duties as necessary.  The ideal candidate will have formal education or certification in wine and at least ten years professional experience in the commercial wine industry with auction house experience strongly preferred.  In depth-knowledge of domestic and international wine market trends and excellent communications, managerial and organizational skills required.  Some travel is required.  Competitive salary and excellent benefits.  Please send resume, detailed cover letter and contact information for at least three references to
