Robert:

The Central Michigan University Department of History has a similar process for faculty peer review in Public History and Museum Studies.  Our biggest problem if finding peer reviewers that bridge the university/museum divide and therefore understand the problems inherent in university museums.  Perhaps we need to start a list of potential reviewers.

Does anyone know if the Association of Academic Museums and Galleries has developed a list of potential peer reviewers?

Our Department has added language to Tenure and Promotion guidelines to include consideration of peer reviewed exhibits, videos, and other creative products – a major step forward.  The candidate is charged with creating the peer review process.  I will appreciate any experience others may have in creating procedural guidelines for having exhibits, programs, videos, and other creative products go through a peer review process.

Thanks,
