Dear Museum-L,
I have kind of an odd questions I need answered. We were contacted a couple weeks ago by a History department at another institution which wants to display a small exhibit we created in-house last spring. The exhibit was made up of photograph facsimile and text panels. We have a rate for selling the photo facsimiles (we get requests for those quite often from private individuals and businesses), but we've never had anyone request text panels for display.
So my question is: What should we charge for inclusion of the text panels? Is there a base rate you use in your institution when setting the price of a traveling exhibit?Or more generally what sort of criteria do you use to figure out the price of your traveling exhibits?

Thanks so much for you time!
