Meg:
That is odd. A sharp blade and a straight edge should be
sufficient. You may need to go over the cut a few times to get through. Make
sure you have a barrier under your board, like cardboard, to make sure you do
not cut through anything under the foam core.
Hope this helps.

Kelley

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] an utterly newbie exhibit question
Hi, all.
I've been lurking for a few months -- I just graduated from the University of
Washington's museum certification program in June -- but this is my first post.
And it is an
utterly rookie newbie question. What is the best inexpensive way to cut
foam core board? A brand-new exacto knife blade was not adequate to the
purpose (the cut wasn't smooth no matter how hard I tried).
Thank you!
