Hi Cindy, I just went to a fundraising event where there was the concert in this case from 7:30 - 9:30 that all people paid for in full. However, the members were able to come early to meet the singer, have a BBQ and social time prior to the event. In this way, members got a perk and yet the facility still met their fundraising goal. Just an idea. . . That is being suggested for one of our events. I am concerned that the members will feel "entitled" to the comp tickets, especially if that is the reason they joined. They will feel that they have "purchased" those tickets with their membership. - Do you have any "public" events that are filled or come close to capacity, so you are unable to sell many public tickets - making the event virtually a member only event? If yes, how do you budget your income for that event? We have an event that is very popular with the general public. It is being suggested that we increase comp tickets to members - both in numbers of tickets and in the number of membership levels eligible for the tickets. - Do you artificially set up a cap of comp member tickets for an event, so you ensure you are still able to sell tickets to the general public?
