The post below led me to wonder about the question of double stick tape.
I was tempted to use double stick tape to tack mylar around tubes that will be used for textile storage.  In the end,  I decided against it, even though it would have saved time.  Among my reasons for deciding against it were the impermanence of the glue - it is likely to dry out and stop doing its job in 8 to 10 years, and the fact that I could not be certain that the glue would not melt and spread in high heat.

Does anyone have any insights to offer?

Subject: making cardboard boxes archival

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone had advice on lining cardboard boxes to make them acceptable for archival storage. We have some very long tubes holding rolled textiles which we would like to put into boxes, and the only ones big enough (8' long) are the boxes the tubes came in, which are made of standard corrugated cardboard. Outside of Marvelseal, are there any other good (and potentially cheap) options?
I would really appreciate hearing how other people have done this, if possible.
