Recording every minute all of the time might be too much, but it does let you demonstrate to your volunteers and staff the effects of leaving the door open on a hot summer day!

Mark,

I read out our hydrothermographs one a week. I currently have them set to record temperature/relative humidity every 1 minute. It seems to work very well and my weekly read-out’s are accurate and we are able to detect any inconsistencies and correct them in a timely manner. However, I am also wondering if recording every 1 minute is a bit of overkill?? I would be interested to hear feedback and suggestions from others as well.

Thanks,

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Recording thermohydrograph

Hello all,

I recently acquired several digital thermohydrographs.  They seem to be incredibly flexible with their recording settings, and I was wondering how often should I set my loggers to record. For example , is recording the temperature/humidity hourly overkill or not enough? Also how often should I be reading these things out?

Many thanks for any advice you could give me

Cheers

Mark
