THURSDAY ● JUNE 10 ● 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Presented by:
The Museum of the City of New York and
Teachers College, Columbia University

This special day of professional development for middle and high school educators will focus on the Museum’s exhibition America’s Mayor: John V Lindsay and the Reinvention of New York as well as an examination of the landmark WGBH documentary Vietnam: a Television History (1983).

Dr. Margaret Crocco and Dr. William Gaudelli from Teachers College will provide participants with a unique opportunity to examine the use of recently digitized outtakes from the making of the film. Teachers will see how documentary and digital archives can support rich historical inquiry through a classroom-ready lesson about the Tet Offensive.

This event is $60.00 per participant. Educators will leave the workshop with classroom-ready lessons, online resources, and materials from the exhibition. A light breakfast will be served.
