Paintings Specialist, Auction House, Chicago
For our renowned Chicago auction house client we are seeking a Specialist in Paintings. The successful candidate will work with a team of other Specialists to source, appraise and catalogue property; create, develop and maintain client relationships; work with co-signors; oversee all aspects of the auction schedule for paintings from Old Masters to Contemporary. The ideal applicant will have at least 3 years experience with an auction house paintings department, strong generalist knowledge of paintings in all mediums and major periods of Western Art; excellent communications and organizational skills; and outstanding business-getting expertise. This is an excellent position for someone who is looking to move into a leadership role in the field. Salary DOE with excellent benefits.
