Program Specialist
The Burlington
County Historical Society, Burlington, NJ is seeking a creative and energetic
professional to develop and implement a schedule of programs for the Society’s
new mission as a hands-on history center for children and families.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a series of interactive programs for children
and families
·
Design curriculum-based programs for school groups
·
Lead history-based outreach programming to area schools, community
organizations, libraries and camp programs
·
Prepare marketing and promotional materials for programs
·
Assist other museum staff with projects and programs
·
Leadership responsibilities include: grant writing, public
relations and community relations
Qualifications:
·
Master’s degree in education, history, museum studies, public
history or related field
·
Minimum of 2 years experience working in museum programming,
education or teaching
·
Must love working with
children and history together
·
Ability to work weekends, evening hours and holidays on a rotating
basis
·
Excellent communication and customer service skills
·
Outgoing and self-motivated who enjoys working with the
public
The position is 40
hours per week. Salary commensurate
with experience.
