Velcro tape holds such labels very well and doesn't seem to cause as much of a problem with eventual take down as foam tape, which can be hard to remove from the wall after extended use. Velcro can be purchased in larger rolls at Office Depot.  The best buys are on the Internet, in both black and white.  Try www.uline.com as one source.  The 3/4 inch or 1 inch tape is fine even for bigger foam core pieces, just use more Velcro as needed to secure.  Buy the kind that comes with adhesive, preferably the type where the opposing Velcro sides come affixed to each other. Cut the tape in the lengths you want without removing the paper from the adhesive.  Remove the paper backing from the adhesive on one side of the strips, and affix them around the edges of the labels. Use enough so that the label will not bulge at the edges and be smooth once in place. None is necessary in the middle. Once all the strips are affixed to the back of a label, remove the remaining protective strips.  Float the label over the wall until it's where you want and press in place.  It can be adjusted slightly by pulling the label off and reattaching the Velcro pieces together, however large foam core labels can bend, so use a butter knife, putty knife, spatula, ruler or similar object to pry the pieces apart. The Historical Society might want to test Velco on some mock labels on the walls in question to see what issues there might be when eventually removing the labels before doing the entire exhibit.

Hello! I'm working with a historical society who wishes to mount their foam core graphics to the wall for as long as possible (aka for a permanent exhibit). Do you have a particular kind of tape or adhesive that you use? Would regular foam tape do the job? The graphics range in size from quite small to about 20"x24".  I realize that the contents of the wall and the humidity of the room will affect the tape's longevity--and that nothing is forever--, but I wanted to ask the list what you would recommend.
