I have to agree with 3M VHB, not only very strong ( this video shows it used in building a sky scraper http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OtrDvDvF5I) Also when removed does not leave residue like other tapes. However for very long applications I suggest having the printing company mount a cleat on the back of the panel. A cleat can be as small as 1/8" hardly adding to profile and it is a mechanical connection which won't fail due to humidity, wall surface etc. McMaster Carr page:http://www.mcmaster.com/#3m-vhb-tape/=6ug6jb Re: [MUSEUM-L] Adhesive for Foam Core on Wall greg_p_palumbo to: MUSEUM-L 04/27/2010 12:52 PM Sent by: Museum discussion list <[log in to unmask]> Please respond to Museum discussion list 3M VHB tape is the best. I'm working with a historical society who wishes to mount their foam core graphics to the wall for as long as possible (aka for a permanent exhibit). Do you have a particular kind of tape or adhesive that you use? Would regular foam tape do the job? The graphics range in size from quite small to about 20"x24". I realize that the contents of the wall and the humidity of the room will affect the tape's longevity--and that nothing is forever--, but I wanted to ask the list what you would recommend.
