Museum Collections Internship



The Pro Football Hall of Fame is seeking students for its Summer 2010 Collections Internship in the museum's Archives and Information Center.  Students who are interested in pursuing a career with an historical organization and have an interest in collections management are preferred.  The student interns will be given an introduction into the history of professional football and the internal collections care practices of the museum.  The student interns will assist staff in research projects and collections care of artifacts and archival materials both in storage and on exhibit.  They will also have the opportunity to complete a registration project(s) in the collection by the end of the internship.



Student interns are required to work for a continuous 12-week period in the Summer 2010.   Collections interns are required to have completed or working to complete a bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: history, anthropology, American Studies, sports management or equivalent.  The museum prefers students who have experience volunteering or working for an historical organization and in a graduate program in one of the following fields of study: museum studies, archival studies, public history or equivalent. The Collections Internship is a volunteer internship.
