We used one inch square labels, white with our logo in one color for adults and gold sheriff badge stickers for the kids with our museum name on them.  Costs are contained if you pick stock colors and sizes. Any of the Internet companies can do a good job less expensively than the local printer I have found.  The folks at www.unionbaylabel.com can explain it all to you.  Just specify the labels are going on clothing.  Buy more than you need to get a better price, as the logo stickers can be useful to personalize envelopes and store tags or signs, but don't buy many year's worth as the glue may not stay sticky for that long.  Our maintenance staff really thanked us for going to the labels from the metal tags as they found them all over the place .  We had no problems with clothes being ruined by them, but did sometimes find them stuck to signs, walkways, under seats.. . .  They were easy enough to get off.
Hope that helps!

Does anyone who uses stickers to identify people who have purchases stickers have advise on the most economical option. Do you print your own stickers or order them through a company? Which company? Does it matter what they are made out of?

Thanks
