Position Description:

Assist Curatorial Department with
daily operations of
-
Open and close exhibitions in two
museum locations
-
Schedule volunteer docents and
receptionists for open shifts
-
Assist with tours and the creation
of interpretive materials

Assist in the research of upcoming
exhibitions, exhibit preparation and development of exhibit text
Position begins June 7, 2010; ends August 14, 2010. This position is
full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
Qualifications
-
Current enrollment in a Masters
program in art history, public history, historic preservation, museum studies
or other related field at an accredited institution.

Competent computer skills
required. Must be comfortable with MS word, working knowledge of Excel and
Photoshop preferred.
Compensation:

Paid stipend $10/hour.

Room in newly renovated dormitory
wing of the historic Hay barn (board not included).
