Aino,

It is the responsibility of the video artist to cover any copyrighted works within theirs as a "derivative work".

You simply need to have the artist sign in the contract that they own ALL rights to the work and are responsible if that is challenged.

Cheers!
Dave

Hello all,

I am hoping to find help for the following problem: acquiring rights to
display videoart that has music (the music is within copyright) - what
steps should we take to be sure we are ok to show the work?

Thank you,
