Dear Colleagues, I have a few questions concerning professional photography of collections objects.  When photographing for various purposes including website, database, research, and publication, what is the standard image size, file format, and resolution that is aimed for in order to satisfy all these needs?  Should a color card be used?  How are photographer rates calculated since the objects vary, some may be straightforward such a chair and others more complicated, for instance a ceiling or murals.  Finally, how many shots per object are typically taken. This of course will vary depending on the complexity of the piece, but on average.

Thank you,
