Caring for Originals during Scanning Projects

This two-hour class will explore how digitization provides an opportunity to stabilize, re-house, and even repair materials within your collections. We will discuss care and handling techniques before, during, and after scanning to ensure that the original objects are not damaged during the scanning process.
This class is designed for staff members who are considering or implementing digitization projects for paper, photographs and books in academic, public, and special libraries, archives, and historical societies.
