Consider an online course!

The Upstate History Alliance's slate of Collections Care and
Preservation Online Courses provide basic and practical training at a
low fee (starting at just $45!). These courses are designed for
staff, volunteers, board members or interns at small to mid-sized
museums. Courses are to be taken at your own pace, and about 1 hour
of work time per week to be completed at your convenience. The
courses also offer interaction with qualified instructors and
assignments are based on your own collections.

Courses cover the following topics and the next courses start soon!
Collections Management 101, Climate Control for Small Institutions,
Introduction to Reformatting, Basic Preservation and Care of Paper
Based Materials, and Conservation and Preservation of Photographs and
Albums.

If this sounds like what you or your staff need to improve
collections care practices at your institution, visit http://

more information, course descriptions and dates, prices and
