You should contact the American Society of Appraisers at
www.appraisers.org or 1-800-272-8258. They will be able to guide you as
to who is qualified in your area to appraise the bell.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Appraisal for a Church Bell

Good Morning:

I am working on an appraisal for a church bell. It's a large brass bell
with the inscription "Clinton H. McNeely Bell Co., Troy N.Y. AD 1890."
I did some preliminary research, but I can see I am going to need some
help with this item. I am looking for the name of an appraiser or a
museum that may have dealt with a church bell in the past. Any
suggestions would be appreciated.

Sincerely,

Cindy Olsen
