Dear All:

As the new American Association of Museums Curator's Committee Mid-Atlantic
representative, I am one of two individuals responsible for collecting
information regarding Mid-Atlantic curatorial museum news for *CurCom Update
*. You can learn more about CurCom here <http://www.curcom.org/> and its
newsletter here:
<http://www.curcom.org/newsletter.php>

The summer newsletter will be written within the coming weeks. If you are
working on a curatorial/collections related project(s) within the
Mid-Atlantic region (NY, PA, NJ, DE, MD, and Washington, D.C.) that you
would like to share with the curatorial community, *please email me a brief
**description of that project by Monday, June, 22, 2009*.

News may cover topics such as collections development, (re)installations of
collections, special and permanent exhibitions, new research/publications,
implementation of new interpretative methods, workshops and conferences, and
more.

Please forward this to your colleagues. Also, feel free to email news as
you have some to share prior to the publication of the fall newsletter. If
you are a curator from another region, contact your regional representative
listed here: http://www.curcom.org/contact.php

Once I receive all the news for the summer newsletter, I will compile a
report and send it to the newsletter editor who will select what will go
into the newsletter. Many of the newsletters feature substantive articles
about these projects, and we can discuss how I may be able to facilitate the
submission of an article-length publication of your curatorial news for
future issues.

Let me know if you have any questions about AAM's Curators' Committee or its
newsletter. I am looking forward to hearing from you about curatorial
research and projects from the Mid-Atlantic region.

Sincerely,
Nicole Belolan
