2010 ANNUAL MEETING CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The conference in Philadelphia has just passed but it is already time to begin thinking about sessions for the 2010 conference in Los Angeles.

Please consider submitting a proposal for a session. This is an opportunity for you, as a member of CURCOM and a museum professional, to have an impact on the future of the field, and to

·         Explore critical issues or ideas that will benefit your colleagues and your museum or practice

·         Tap into a wider network of professionals

·         Receive national recognition from your peers

·         Enjoy sunny Southern California

Proposals may address a wide range of curatorial issues including standards and practices, conservation and collections management and care, and innovation or unique projects and approaches. Based on the content of the 2009 conference, we are in need of more sessions about curatorial issues in art museums and historic house museums, and on collections research.

For the 2010 meeting, AAM has instituted an online process for submitting proposals, replacing the more cumbersome application process used in the past.

Deadline: To be considered for CurCom endorsement at the annual meeting of program chairs, you must submit your proposal by July 10, 2008.
