A group I am working with is looking to sell naming rights to rooms in a historic house. I am concerned about two things: One, naming is not "sustainable" for lack of a better word. Do any of you have experience selling naming rights to rooms for a set period of time? For example, we may choose to sell the rights to all of our rooms for only a five year period of time. Second, what is the best way to display those rights? I have seen plaques on walls, plaques on woodwork, framed rights, etc. The house I am working in is historic, and I don't want to damage any of the wood or plaster work by placing a plaque up for each room. Does anyone have creative suggestions as to how they have displayed named rooms? Thanks for your help.
