I use this product for small jobs (labels included) http://www.cheapjoes.com/art-supplies/12829_m-postionable-mounting-adhesive.asp

It adheres well to both foam core and matt board and isn’t messy.  Simple plexi sheets stuck to the wall with brads are very nice to use too.  If you can stick directly to the wall with no problem you may want to try using a laser printer and clear labels.  All you’d have to do is format the labels in something like word print them out and stick them to the wall.  It’s a very clean look and depending on the wall material not hard to get off.

Also just as a quick tip if you do use a spray or other adhesive on foam core and you notice the edges are peeling up (something very common) you can stick them back down if you apply low heat to the area.  Just make sure to put clean paper between the iron and the label.

Hope that helps.

Good morning!

Does anybody have suggestions for making in-house labels? Right now we use cardstock adhered to mat board with an aerosol adhesive spray which is then cut to size using a mat cutter. I’m hoping to find an alternative to using the aerosol spray. Any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
