You might look into either a heat mount or cold mount adhesive
or Crescent makes an adhesive mount board. We have used all three methods, but
currently use a cold mount version that comes on a roll. I think it is a giant
roll of ATG framers tape actually.
Some museums still make labels on paper or card stock and
then place a plexi cover over the label with a couple of brads to nail it in
place.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] making labels- alternative to aerosol spray
Good morning!
Does anybody
have suggestions for making in-house labels? Right now we use cardstock adhered
to mat board with an aerosol adhesive spray which is then cut to size using a
mat cutter. I’m hoping to find an alternative to using the aerosol spray.
Any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
