Hello everyone,

I am posting this question for a co-worker.   There has been discussion of selling sponsorships of exhibits/areas of our museum. For example, John Doe would “sponsor” our hands-on gallery for a period of time for X amount of dollars. They would get a certificate and a small plaque on the wall for that year.  They would not have control of what went into the gallery or how the money was spent.  He was wondering if anyone had done this before.  If so, how long did the sponsorships last (1 year, 5 years, perpetuity…) and what were the value/prices placed on that sponsorship. ($500, $1000, $1 million…).

Any answers or advice would be appreciated.  Thank you!
