This decision should be decryed. When an institution undertakes to form a collection as a museum there is a trust that is both implicit and explicit that it will be a good steward of the cultural and artistic works entrusted to it. To see an entire collection thrown out for sale as any commodity speaks volumes about the sad state of affairs at Brandeis - both financially and ethically. It is a poor example for any of us, especially students, to see.
