Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway

Interpretive Project

 

Dorchester County (Md.) Tourism Department is accepting proposals for an interpretive plan that integrates content and visitor experience of the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park, Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge,  Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway, and design, fabrication and installation of _3_ waysides along the Choptank River, and the redesign and printing of a folded guide map.

 

The RFP information pack is available at www.tourchesapeakecountry.com, by contacting [log in to unmask], or by calling 410-228-1000. There will be a voluntary, pre-proposal meeting on Friday, December 12, at 2:30 in Room 110, of the Dorchester County Office Building.

 

Proposals will be accepted until 12:00 P.M. January 2, 2009, when they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Envelopes should be marked “Bid: Harriet Tubman Interpretive Project” in lower left corner. County Representatives reserve the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts of bids when judged to be in the best interest of the County.
