The Adams Museum & House, Inc. (AM&H) is a private, non-profit history and educational complex that operates two museums: The Adams Museum and Historic Adams House. Currently, the AM&H is in the process of opening the Homestake Adams Research and Cultural Center to house the massive Homestake Mining Co. Collection, the Henry J. Frawley Legal Collection and the Adams Museum and Historic Adams House archival collections. These three organizations form a historic campus in the National Historic Landmark community of Deadwood, SD.

The mission of the non-profit AM&H is to identify, preserve, collect, interpret and promote the history and culture of Deadwood and the surrounding Black Hills for the benefit of members of the Northern Black Hills community, visitors to the area and researchers. We achieve this goal through extensive public programming ranging from school tours and musical performances to workshops in the Victorian arts and haunted hayrides. With a core professional staff of nine individuals with varied talents and backgrounds, our museums are bustling year-round with locals and tourists from around the world. The Adams Museum and Historic Adams House boast a combined annual visitation of nearly 100,000 people, which pushes us to constantly update and rotate exhibits and make our museums accessible to the greatest number of people. Additionally, the AM&H regularly partners with other museums in the Black Hills and provides historical research to entities around the world. It truly is a premier history institution.
