Folks:

In her first post on the MUA underwater archaeologist Sarah Holland introduced us to her ongoing research on the environmental forces that affect shipwrecks after the wrecking event. Today Sarah provides a brief history of one of her test sites: the English fourth rate ship of the line Hazardous that wrecked in 1706. This tracer study may provide a methodology that underwater archaeologists can use to help make sense of the seemingly chaotic scatter of artifacts often encountered on the sea bed.
