1.  Deadline
You can still register for the conference.  However, September 12th is the final days for the CHEAPEST price to register.   Visit www.mpma.net   or  the http://www.midwestmuseums.org  for the registration form.

2.  Wanna Roommate or Carpool to the conference?
You can sign up for a carpool if you register online.  OR, you can let the MPMA office know. Contact Erin at [log in to unmask] to let her know you are interested in either joining a carpool or forming one or if you want a roommate.  You can also visit MPMA's Forum  for information about roommates and carpooling or trading rooms.

3.  Need a Costume for the Museum Monster Mash?
Don't miss the final and MOST Fun event of the conference. Prizes for the best costume.  Come as an object, a white glove, anything goes!   A costume shop is within walking distance of the conference hotel. Really! Some of us will be dressing up for the final event of the conference.  Costumes can be rented at Kansas City Costume.  If you do plan to rent, reserve your costume now.  This is a popular store and our Museum Monster Mash will be on the HOTTEST Halloween weekend. MPMA is posting costume ideas on its MPMA Forum.

4. MPMA Forum

5. Hotel Reservations
 The conference hotel is full.  BUT... The Aladdin Hotel does have space.  It is within walking distance of the conference hotel and the Kansas City Convention Center where sessions will be held.  To get our special conference rate, contact the hotel IMMEDIATELY to reserve your room. These rooms won't last long. 6.  Airfares
Melissa B.  just reported that she got a roundtrip fare of $159 on United from Denver to Kansas City.  So fares are reasonable and available.
 

MPMA's Annual Conference - Meeting in the Middle - in 2008  is in Kansas City, MO.  Mark your calendars now since this is a LATE OCTOBER Date. 
The conference is scheduled for October 21-25, 2008, at the Hotel Phillips in Kansas City, Missouri. MPMA will collaborate with the Association of Midwest Museums Association. The conference will be Twice the Size! Twice the Fun!
