Administrative Assistant The U.S. House of Representatives' Office of History and Preservation, within the Office of the Clerk, is seeking a responsible candidate to provide general administration for the essential functions of an office of historians, curators and archivists. The primary duties include budget administration, personnel records management, multi-level support to three divisions, office-wide emergency coordination, as well as other secretarial duties. This individual must have the temperament to communicate with a variety of personalities in a tactful, pleasant and professional manner. Must be analytical, flexible, detail-oriented, and creative.. A Bachelors degree, as well as experience in congressional, humanities, museum or nonprofit offices, is preferred. Strong organizational, written and oral communications skills, and familiarity with IBM-PC compatible computer systems is required. Annual salary for this position is up to $65,394, and the vacancy is open until filled.
