Is this to keep the volunteer from holding the institution responsible
for any mishaps? Or to protect the volunteer from fiscal damage from any
institution mishaps?

Obviously we don't have one - would like to learn more from those who
do!

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] volunteer release forms

Is anyone using a (legal) release form for volunteers? We've gone from
extremes of nothing to one that is so restrictive of volunteer's rights
that a common visitor has more than they do if they sign it. Looking
for a common, friendly language middle ground. Any examples would be
gratefully appreciated.

Regards,
