The Newport Art Museum & Art Association is currently accepting resumes for the position of Development Associate. The Development Associate is responsible for the overall organization and smooth operation of the Museum's Membership program. Using Raiser's Edge, the Development Associate will process and manage all renewal notices, reminders, and Member cards; maintain the Membership database; process checks and credit card payments; and generate Membership and donor reports. The Development Associate will work collaboratively with the Director of Development on major giving and sponsorship cultivation, donor special events and stewardship, and annual fund solicitation. The Development Associate will manage the annual Membership budget, including planning and attaining fiscal year goals for all Membership levels and other associated revenues, project quarterly Membership financial statistics, and track expenses.
Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum 3 years experience with a non-profit organization. Applicants must be proficient using Raiser’s Edge and have demonstrated experience in successfully managing a Membership program. Excellent knowledge of general office and business procedures a plus. Must be highly organized and very detail-oriented with excellent writing and communication skills.
