I am currently enrolled in a M.A. in
Museum Professions Program at Seton Hall University. This type of
program, like many similar ones, I'm sure, is invaluable when considering
a career in museums. The classes enable you to learn about the innerworkings
of museums, as well as contemporary issues and how to deal with them. I
have also been able to network with Museum Professionals around the country,
and even internationally through classes abroad. If you are seriously
considering a career in the museum world, I would say that a similar M.A.
program is almost necessary, plus it will give you the opportunity to interact
with a group of emerging museum professional peers, and I have had a lot
of fun with the program as well.
Hope this is a help.

An masters in Museum Studies would help in getting
a job, especially if
you can do an internship as part of the degree.
