Subject: Wharf borer beetle question

The museum a friend of mine works at found themselves with a few unwanted
and uninvited visitors so he has a couple questions for folks with any
experience with the wharf borer beetle.

Were the beetles able to find breeding grounds for a second generation in
your museum? (in other words, does he have to prepare for a second invasion
next year)

Other than being a nuisance, did they like to eat your textiles or
archives/works on paper?

Has anyone else had a recent invasion? (He thinks the beetles came in with
an order of supplies since his museum is no where near a body of water with
soaking wood, but the suppliers don't seem to agree)

You may reply off-list, I'll pass the info on.
