Eh? What are you disagreeing with Trevor? Archaeology is indeed more than the simple removal of the objects/evidence in question. In the context of what we were discussing(treasure hunting vs. archaeology in reference to the Indiana Jones character and the addition of Harrison Ford to the AIA board), it did not seem necessary to break out my textbooks from my undergraduate degree in anthropology to provide a really detailed definition/comparison. Treasure hunting/looting/plundering should be defined generally as the removal of materials from any historical site for the purposes of personal gain without regard to other historical evidence at the site, proper archaeological excavation methods, and all of the various laws of the land.
