Another point and I don't know if it's been raised as I didn't review
all the comments, is the trustee personal liability in this. That always
makes them take notice!

Thanks for all of the advice so far! Yes, we do have a collections
policy that 
states "No loans to individuals". Unfortunately they seem to be
overlooking the 
importance of following the policy that our museum executive board
approved.
