The Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle Washington is seeking museum
professionals to fill two senior staff positions:

Director of Operations & Finance:  Reporting to the Executive Director the
Director of Operations & Finance provides strategic assistance to the
Executive Director in oversight and management of the operational functions
of the Nordic Heritage Museum including finance, personnel, facilities, and
museum security.

Director of Development & External Relations: Reporting to the Executive
Director,  the Director of Development and External Affairs leads all
aspects of its fundraising, membership, public relations and marketing
efforts.

The Mission of the Nordic Heritage Museum is to highlight the contributions
of Nordic immigrants and their descendants in the development of the Pacific
Northwest, and to serve as a cross-cultural bridge among people from the
Nordic countries and the United States. The Museum collection and programs
center around the life and cultural heritage of the five Nordic countries of
Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.

This is an exciting time at the Nordic Heritage Museum with a capital
campaign underway to build a new Nordic Heritage Museum in the heart of
Ballard.  Early lead gifts have secured the site; planning, design and
fundraising for the new building are underway. The Campaign has an active
Steering Committee with strong volunteer participation.
