At the last conference I attended, I left a session because the screen-saver image bounced up and down and back and forth and made me feel a bit queasy. (And it was boring... )
Soon two of the big museum conferences, The Association of Children's
Museums (ACM) and The American Association of Museums (AAM) will be taking
place in Denver. And many, if not most, of the presenters at both these
conferences will be packing a laptop loaded with PowerPoint presentations.
"Why are some of the most creative people in the world using such powerful
computer technology to present such boring, non-interactive speeches?"
As noted on the ExhibiTricks blog:

Feel free to add your comments and suggestions on how to make the museum
conferences more engaging.
And, if you are attending either AAM or ACM, please consider offering the
suggestion for "A Day Without PowerPoint" on every evaluation form you turn in!
