Can I also add that laser levels are a great way to avoid making marks on
your walls in pencil?  The $80 this museum spent on a laser level has added
years to my life with regard to everything from hanging paintings,
photographs, prints, etc. to vinyl lettering and general wall labels.  It is
great for establishing a standard hanging height when it is necessary.  We
purchased a Black and Decker one that stands on a tripod.
